Honoring VETS!!!

This isnt for pet doctors, its all about honoring our Troops. In the USA Nov.11th is Veterans Day. A day we set aside to honor the men and women who sacrifice everything for our country. Not only do these people make sacrifices, but their families do too. Just to give us all the freedoms that we usually take for granted. Not all people do this but many do.

I was very unaware of this but I guess not every country has a place that you can send cards to for them or for them to send out. I was not aware of this. IF YOU KNOW of one where you live I would be very grateful to add the info for this challenge.

The winner from last weeks challenge was #8 Julie please contact us at For fun challenges@yahoo.com with no spaces please. Congrats!!

We also would like to thank Bugaboo for the sponsorship last week.

This week we have no sponsor! I hope you will still play along with us- just "for fun"

For our challenge- Thank YOUR military. If possible make it something you can give to them or send to someone you know who served or is serving. We want to let ALL military know we appreciate them. I forget sometimes that this blog is global- we only have 3 ladies in the states. lol. I just think because they are amazing and wonderful I forget they are not in the USA.

Here are the ones they have made for samples.
This is Barb's last week with us. Were so glad she played along and will miss her!! Thanks Barb.

Please join in not only here but you can send and give away your card. Here is a local US site.

November 11 is known as Rememberance Day in the UK, Australia (and British Commonwealth countries), commemorating the signing of the peace armistice ending WW1 in 1918. There are services at the Cenataphs (the local War Service Roll and Statue with the Standing Soldier resting his arms on his gun pointing down, and his head bowed - I know they are all over Canada too). Very similar to our ANZAC Day, but we wear Poppies for Rememberance, and on ANZAC Day we wear ANZAC pins and Rosemary Sprigs.

We owe them all so much!!
Please show us your cards below with mr. Linky

Hi again, Just wanted to let you know that I emailed my address last week after learning that I won the "Special Birthday Card" Challenge but have still not heard from anyone ... I'm not meaning to be or wanting to seem impatient in any way, just concerned that the email may not have been received. Thought I'd try posting my email here ... julie70_jag@yahoo.com.au ... Thanks again and looking forward to hearing from you ... Julie :D
