We hope you all had a wondrous Christmas. I had a great time with my family.

The new year is approaching we wish nothing but the best for you and your friends and family.

This year will bring a lot of changes for us here at For Fun. I have other things that I need to do and cannot be here as much, not fair to my girls and you. So changes are happening. We will not have a sponsor every week, however, there is only a random to the sponsors so you’ll have to check every week to see if we have one or not. Hopefully you will play along with us no matter what.

This week I forced my team to relax and take some time off to be with Family and friends for this wonderful Holiday. Being I am Christian we celebrate Christmas and try really hard to remember the meaning of it. Sometimes in a world of gimme gimme its hard but we wish for all of you and your family's at this special time of year 3 things: Love, Peace and joy!

We have had a lot of people play lately, I must admit I was busy with life and couldn’t be here to keep up with things. Well I think some people have taken advantage of that fact.

We have rules done the side to make it fair for all to play and win. If you enter 25 challenges with 1 card and win at all because of random picks- is that fair to those who made many different cards for different challenges. I have also seen that many people don’t even follow the challenge. My ladies work really really hard to make sure our sponsors get a good sample for the images they give us and the prizes they give you. This has saddened me.

Honoring VETS!!!

This isnt for pet doctors, its all about honoring our Troops. In the USA Nov.11th is Veterans Day. A day we set aside to honor the men and women who sacrifice everything for our country. Not only do these people make sacrifices, but their families do too. Just to give us all the freedoms that we usually take for granted. Not all people do this but many do.

I was very unaware of this but I guess not every country has a place that you can send cards to for them or for them to send out. I was not aware of this. IF YOU KNOW of one where you live I would be very grateful to add the info for this challenge.

November 11 is known as Rememberance Day in the UK, Australia (and British Commonwealth countries), commemorating the signing of the peace armistice ending WW1 in 1918. There are services at the Cenataphs (the local War Service Roll and Statue with the Standing Soldier resting his arms on his gun pointing down, and his head bowed - I know they are all over Canada too). Very similar to our ANZAC Day, but we wear Poppies for Rememberance, and on ANZAC Day we wear ANZAC pins and Rosemary Sprigs.

Digi My World opened its doors in April 2011. It was created by me, Annie Kelly, a self taught artist, crafter and web designer. I have always dabbled in doodling and creating from even an early age. Whatever the craft, I have tried it. From drawing, painting, sewing, doll & pattern making, I have tried it all. Mind you, not successful at it all, but I sure did try it all!
Clipart has taken on a whole new art form in recent years. The world of paper crafts have brought line art to a whole new level - being dubbed "digital stamps". It is with all these new developments that Digi My World was created.
I am a stay at home mom to 2 boys. My oldest son is ADD and my youngest is autistic. It is because of my youngest son that I was not able to initially go back into the work force. All of my digital stamps and clip art are my own creations. I get inspired by the most random and silly things. Long trips in the car can give me 7 -10 new mini collection ideas. I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

I love that so many people play along with us every week. It makes me feel like the work we do is worth it. I feel I need to do a shout out. Designer of over 100 theatrical productions, Rick St Dennis (Donald McAfee) is also the author of 4 books on decorative painting and contributor to at least a dozen national magazines on crafts and art. He has taught design at the college level as well as seminars and classes across the USA and Canada. He is one of a handful of designers to have designed TWO productions of AIDA, Verdi's massive Egyptian opera spectacle. Currently living in the quiet beach communuity of Seal Beach, California he writes restaurant reviews and theatre reviews between assignments for web designs, logos and creating art for local shows. Rick has appeared on such TV shows as Home Matters with Susan Powell, Aileen's Crafts and others. He was Crafts editor for Country Folk Art Magazine and sells his artwork nationally through galleries and shows. Among numerous awards he won a presidential commendation in 1976 for his contributions to the bicentennial year including the design of the west coast premier of William Grant Still's opera BAYOU LEGEND. His drawings and paintings are in the collections of Diana Ross, Sandy Duncan, Sammy Davis Jr. and Jacqueline Onnasis amongst others.

I love when we get a lot of people playing along with us. I like to look at peoples projects and learn or get motivated. I wish we would have people who scrap or other crafting playing along too. Thats ok, Thanks to those of you who braved it.
I hope you like the challenge this week more. My team really rocked out this challenge. They made some amazing things. 1 isn't even a card. YEAH! this is welcome here- scrap pages, projects, cards- heck if you crochet something and it goes- go for it.

This weeks challenge is to use the colors _ Purple, Green and Yellow - This Mardi Gras inspired challenge. Never been but I like food so...
